Link a league or ranking
Role requiredTournament organizer
What you’ll achieve: an event that either runs as a league over several weeks, or feeds a ranking ladder that spans a whole series of tournaments.
Prerequisites: a tournament event (see Create the tournament). This step is optional — skip it for a one-day, standalone tournament.
These live in the Competition settings of the event form, under Schedule & Structure and Ranking.
League vs. single tournament
Section titled “League vs. single tournament”Under Competition format you choose how the event runs:
- Tournament (default) — a single event, played through in one sitting.
- League — “Matches played over several weeks within a date window.” Selecting League prompts you for the league’s date range.
Link a ranking (a season-long ladder)
Section titled “Link a ranking (a season-long ladder)”A ranking carries results across many tournaments into one season-long ladder. In the Ranking group:
- Link to internal ranking (beta) — pick one of your club’s rankings from the dropdown (default is Not linked). Teams are then seeded from that ranking’s entry points, and this event’s results feed back into it.
- Federation Points — turn on if the event counts toward official volleyball federation points. You’ll confirm this in a dialog.
