How payments work

Volley World processes payments through Stripe Connect. Your club connects its own Stripe account, members pay online, and Stripe pays the money out to your bank.

  1. Your club connects a Stripe account once. Stripe verifies your identity and bank details.
  2. Members pay for memberships, events, session packs, licences, tickets or merch inside the app.
  3. The platform takes a small fee on each transaction; the rest is settled to your connected Stripe account.
  4. Stripe pays out to your bank on its normal payout schedule.

Each transaction carries a percentage fee plus a fixed €0.25. The percentage depends on your plan — 3% on Free, 2.5% on Community, 2% on Club PRO. See pricing & limits for the full table.

Because the money lands in your Stripe account, you’re the merchant of record for your club’s sales, and payouts, disputes and statements live in your Stripe dashboard.

Admins can refund a payment from the app — fully or partially. The refund goes back to the payer through Stripe. In Club Manager you’ll find refunds alongside the relevant sale; in Competition Manager you can refund a team’s entry from its payment card.

For tournaments, a two-player team can split the entry: one player pays their half and invites their partner, who completes and pays the other half later. Until the partner pays, the registration is flagged as a pending split. Organizers can see these under Pending split registrations. Read more in split registration and split payment.

Not every team or member pays online. A team added by an organizer, or one that paid in cash, simply shows no online payment recorded — that’s expected, and it doesn’t block participation.
