Club Level System

Role requiredStaff: Club structure

What you’ll achieve: your club has a clear set of skill levels you can assign to members and use to restrict events.

Prerequisites: a created club. The number of levels you can create depends on your plan: Free 3, Community 5, Club PRO 25.

These are two different ladders, and it’s worth keeping them apart.

The club level is yours. You invent the rungs (their names, abbreviations and descriptions) and your coaches assign a player to one. It never changes by itself, and it only means something inside your club — a “C2” at your club has nothing to do with a “C2” anywhere else.

The Volley World App Level is global. It’s a number from 1 to 10, held per sport, that starts from the player’s questionnaire and then moves on its own with match and tournament results. Nobody at the club assigns it.

Both are shown on a player’s card, and either can be used to restrict who joins an event — but assigning a club level never changes a player’s app level, and results never change their club level.

  1. Open Settings and tap the Levels tile.
  2. On Club Levels, fill in each level card:
    • Name — up to 40 characters (required).
    • Abbr (max 2) — a two-letter shorthand, shown as a badge.
    • Description (optional) — up to 500 characters.
  3. (Optional) tick Show ALL levels on the club home page to display the full ladder to members.
  4. Add another level with the + row beneath the list; remove one with the X (you must keep at least one).
  5. Tap Save. You’ll see Levels & settings saved.

”Level limit reached” dialog

You’ve hit your plan’s cap (Free 3, Community 5, Club PRO 25). The dialog shows a comparison table and an Upgrade button that takes you to the plans screen.

Save fails with “Empty fields”

Every level needs a name. Fill in all level names, or delete the unused rows, then save again. An abbreviation longer than two characters is also rejected (Abbreviation too long).

I can’t delete a level

A level can’t be deleted while accepted members are assigned to it. Move those members to another level first, then delete.
