Publish the sign-up link
What you’ll achieve: one link you can post anywhere that opens your tournament’s event page, where players sign up through the inscription form you built and pay their entry.
Prerequisites: the tournament exists, with an inscription form and a price attached.
Every tournament has an event page
Section titled “Every tournament has an event page”Each tournament you create gets its own event page. It shows the banner, the entry price, how many teams have registered, the gender category, the dates and location, and the ranking or league it counts towards — and it holds the sign-up button.
That page is what players see when they open your link:
- They open the link and land on the event page.
- They tap sign up — and the inscription form you created for this tournament opens, with your team questions, your player questions and your merchandise.
- They submit the form, then confirm the reservation by paying.
A player who already filled in that form for your club isn’t asked again — they go straight to the payment step.
Copy the sign-up link
Section titled “Copy the sign-up link”The link is created on the event page itself, in Club Manager.
- Open Schedule and click the tournament to open its event page.
- Click the share icon in the top bar. The link is generated and copied to your clipboard.
- Paste it wherever your players are — WhatsApp, Instagram, email, your website.
A sign-up link looks like this:
https://clubapp.volleyworldapp.com/?type=Inscr&clubName=SC_Phoenix_Bcn_197cd4z&id=3oUNYFDY2aQPdnzsn9uc&eType=ourtournamentsIt carries your club (clubName), the tournament (id) and the event type (eType), so the link opens that exact event page — players never have to search for the tournament.
Open and close sign-ups
Section titled “Open and close sign-ups”Sign-ups are controlled by the Registrations switch on the tournament dashboard in Competition Manager.
Turn it off to stop new sign-ups — you’ll get a Close inscriptions? confirmation. Players (including the waitlist) can no longer register, existing registrations are unaffected, and you can re-open at any time.
Registering a full team directly
Section titled “Registering a full team directly”The event page is the route for a single link that works for every event type. For team tournaments you can also send teams straight to the registration form, skipping the event page — that page’s address has the form …/inscriptions/<your-tournament-id>.
Either way, teams fill in the same inscription form. See the participant-facing Register a team guide, which you can send straight to your players.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The page says “no registration form configured”
The tournament has no inscription form linked to it. Attach one by editing the event in Club Manager — see Create the inscription form.
Players say sign-up is closed
Check the Registrations switch is on. If it’s off, the event page shows a closed state.
The share icon doesn’t copy anything
The link is built when you click, so give it a moment — the icon shows a spinner while it’s generating. Clicking again after it’s copied does nothing on purpose. Friendly matches don’t produce share links.
