Stage 3 · Close Inscriptions

Role requiredTournament organizer

What you’ll achieve: a locked field turned into a real schedule — groups drawn, courts laid out, matches created and assigned, and Phase 1 released so players and referees can see their games.

Where you are: sign-ups are done. This stage takes you from “registration closed” to “players can see their first matches.”

Competition Manager’s setup checklist runs Teams → Groups → Net Layout → Matches → Assign Courts, and then you publish. Follow it in order:

  1. Close inscriptions & confirm seeds — turn registrations off, adjust and save each team’s entry points, and mark any non-playing team Deleted or Disqualified.
  2. Generate groups — round robin or divided groups (serpentine for balance).
  3. Court map & net layout — load an existing layout or create a new one and place your courts.
  4. Create matches — set format and referee assignment, then generate the fixtures.
  5. Assign matches to courts — auto-assign across courts (times de-conflicted) or place groups by hand.
  6. Advance to Phase 1 — publish the phase. This is the step that gives players and referees access to their matches.

With Phase 1 live, move to Stage 4 · On-site Management — run the games, build brackets, and enter live scores.
