FAQ
Clubs & plans
Section titled “Clubs & plans”Is Volley World free to start? Yes. The Free plan costs nothing and supports up to 500 members. You can upgrade to Community or Club PRO as your club grows. See pricing & limits.
Can one account run more than one club? An account owns one club. To run several, use separate accounts.
Payments
Section titled “Payments”How do payments reach my club? Through your own Stripe account. Once you connect Stripe, members pay in-app and Stripe pays out to your bank, minus the platform fee. See how payments work.
What are the fees? A percentage plus a fixed €0.25 per transaction — 3% on Free, 2.5% on Community, 2% on Club PRO.
What does that look like on a real training? Take a training you sell for €15. The member pays €15; the platform fee comes off the top, and the rest is settled to your own Stripe account:
| Your plan | Percentage | Fixed fee | Platform fee on €15 | Your club receives |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 3% | €0.25 | €0.70 | €14.30 |
| Community | 2.5% | €0.25 | €0.63 | €14.37 |
| Club PRO | 2% | €0.25 | €0.55 | €14.45 |
Stripe’s own card-processing fee is charged separately by Stripe, on top of this, at the rate in your Stripe agreement. See how payments work.
Can I refund a payment? Yes — admins can issue full or partial refunds from the app.
Members
Section titled “Members”How do people join my club? There’s more than one way, and they all end in the same place — a request in member requests that you approve.
- Your invite link. Any admin can generate the club’s invite link from the home screen of the mobile app, then share it however they like (WhatsApp, email, a poster). Someone who opens it is walked straight into joining your club — signing up first if they don’t have an account yet. The invite is a copyable link; there’s no QR code.
- Your club’s web page for players. Players can also open your club in the Volley World web app and register from there, without anyone sending them anything.
Either way, if you’ve attached an onboarding form, they fill it in on the way, and their request lands with you to approve.
Can parents manage their kids? Yes. Parents add children under family accounts and choose who they’re paying for at checkout. A child too young to hold their own account is registered by a parent from that screen.
Levels
Section titled “Levels”How is my level decided? A player has two levels in Volley World, and they’re independent:
- The Volley World App Level is global — a number from 1 to 10, held separately for each sport. An initial questionnaire sets your starting point, and from then on it moves by itself with your results: a little for competitive matches you save in the app, considerably more for competitions organized in the app. Nobody assigns it.
- The club level is local — each club invents its own ladder (its names, its rungs) and the club’s coaches assign a player to one. It only means something inside that club.
Assigning a club level never changes an app level, and results never change a club level.
Tournaments
Section titled “Tournaments”How do teams sign up? Open registrations and share the public sign-up link — see publish the sign-up link and the participant guide register a team.
Can players pay separately? Yes, a two-player team can split the payment.
Where do spectators watch live? Through the tournament’s Spectator link, which opens the live view in the Volley World app — see follow live results.
Languages
Section titled “Languages”Which languages do the docs support? English, Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese today, with more to come. Pages not yet translated fall back to English.
