What you’ll achieve: a knockout bracket seeded from your group results, ready to play out.

Prerequisites: the group phase must have results — standings are computed from them.

Sub-divisions and formats

The elimination phase doesn’t have to be one big bracket. You can split the field into sub-divisions — for example a Gold, Silver and Bronze bracket — and give each division its own format:

  • Single Elimination — one loss and you’re out.
  • Double Elimination — a losers’ bracket gives every team a second life before elimination.
  • Byes — when a division doesn’t have a power-of-two number of teams, the top seeds get byes (an automatic pass into the next round), shown as W __BYE__ in the bracket.

Mixing formats is fine: your Gold division can run double elimination while a lower division runs a quick single-elimination bracket.

Single elimination

Section titled “Single elimination”
  1. Tap Create Brackets.
  2. Confirm the seed order (drag to reorder if needed) and confirm.
  3. The bracket builds. You can switch between Bracket and Detailed views, and add a 3rd Place Match once both semifinals are finished.

Double elimination

Tap Create Double Elimination Bracket and configure the Grand Final format, Semifinal structure and whether to include a 3rd/4th-place match, then Create Bracket.

Players can’t enter the score or open the score sheet in the elimination phase

In the elimination phase a match is locked until the organizer opens it — that’s almost always the reason players can’t edit the score or reach the score sheet.

Unlike the group phase, this isn’t automatic. The organizer unblocks each knockout match by hand, by assigning it to a court, giving it a referee, and setting its time. Once the organizer has done that, the match opens and its players can enter the score.

”No Match Results” / “No Teams Found”

A bracket needs completed group-phase results and correctly assigned teams. Make sure the group matches are scored and teams are in the right subdivision.

I can’t add the 3rd-place match

The bronze match can only be created once both semifinals are marked Finished.
