Register a team

For players. This page explains the traditional sign-up, where one person registers the whole team. Organizers can share it directly with participants.

What you’ll achieve: your team registered and paid for the tournament, with your teammates linked to it.

  1. Open the tournament’s sign-up link (the organizer shares it — its address contains /inscriptions/).
  2. Sign in, or create an account if you don’t have one.
  3. Choose the club you represent (see below), enter a team name, and fill in each player.
  4. Answer the team questions the organizer set, if there are any.
  5. Pay the entry and submit — you’ll see your team confirmed.

The team registration form — the club you represent at the top, then a tab per player with their details.

At the top of the form you choose which club you represent at this tournament. This is what appears next to your team in the draw and on the public results.

  • Pick a club to play under its name.
  • Or choose Independent Player to represent only yourself — you don’t play under any club.

It’s optional, and it doesn’t have to be a club you’re a member of in the app — it’s simply the name your team competes under.

  • Player 1 is you — the person doing the registration. Fill it in with your own details.
  • Player 2 is your partner — fill in their details.
  • If the tournament allows more than two players per team, an option to add the extra players appears; add them the same way.

Under Player 2 you can search for your partner by email. If they already have a Volley World profile, add it to link their real account to the team. This matters for two reasons:

  • Your partner gets access. Linked, they can open the score sheets, see their match times and follow the results tables — the same as you.
  • Your team is seeded correctly. Linking real profiles is what lets the app read both players’ values and calculate the team’s entry points accurately.

If you don’t link a profile, the app creates a dummy account for your partner so the team can still register. It works, but that partner won’t have their own access, and the seeding falls back to a default. The organizer can add your partner’s real profile later, so a missing link isn’t permanent.

The page says registration is closed

The organizer hasn’t opened (or has closed) sign-ups. Check with them — they can re-open registrations at any time.

I can’t find my partner when I search

Search by the exact email on their Volley World account. If they don’t have an account yet, register without linking — a dummy account is created for them, and the organizer can link their real profile later once they sign up.
