What the Federation app is

The Federation app (federationapp.volleyworldapp.com) is your federation’s console on Volley World — the federation’s counterpart of a club’s Club Manager. It is built around three things a federation runs:

• Club affiliations and deposits, tracked in one register.
• Competition calendar and electronic match records, built in.
• Referees, officials and their training, in one pool.

Competitions themselves — leagues and tournaments, with their fixtures, playing days, courts, referees and live scoring — are run in the Competition Manager, the same tool clubs use. The Federation app takes you there, already signed in.

1. Create your account

1. Open federationapp.volleyworldapp.com and choose Create account.
2. Confirm your e-mail address with the link we send you (check your spam folder).
3. Fill in Create your federation: the Federation name, Which sports does your federation govern?, the Federation main address and, if you like, the Federation logo. Just the basics — you can change all of it later in Federation settings.

2. Verification within 24 hours

Every new federation is checked by a person. Until then your Dashboard shows Verification in progress: A Volley World admin is checking that this is a real federation and will contact you within 24 hours. Everything here keeps working in the meantime.

You don’t have to wait — you can open the Competition Manager and start preparing your first league right away.

3. The modules

The sidebar shows every module of the Federation app, whether your account has it switched on or not — so you see the whole product from day one.

Leagues, Tournaments and Referees carry a small external-link mark: they open the Competition Manager in a new tab (see Open the Competition Manager). Player database, Club database and Player Licences carry a padlock until they are switched on for your account.

4. Choose the modules that matter to you

Not every federation needs every module. Some only run a league; others want the registers of clubs, players and licences as well. Decide which modules are relevant for your federation and tell us — we unlock them for your account.

1. Click a module with a padlock. Its page says Locked for this federation account — Please contact hola@volleyworldapp.com to unlock this feature.
2. Click the hola@volleyworldapp.com button. Your e-mail app opens with the module’s name as the subject.
3. Tell us which modules you want and a word about your federation (which competitions, how many clubs). We unlock them for your federation account.

You can list every module you need in one e-mail to hola@volleyworldapp.com — no need to click each padlock.

Who works with you

Your federation is the organizer. The clubs take part in your competitions from their own Club Manager and Competition Manager, their players sign teams up and follow fixtures in the Volley World app, and your referees score the matches on their phones with the digital scoresheet. Troubleshooting

• I never got the confirmation e-mail. Check your spam folder. A new e-mail can only be sent after 15 minutes; then use Resend email.
• “A federation with this name already exists”. Federation names are unique per country. Add your region to the name, or contact us if it is really yours.
• Verification is taking longer than 24 hours. Write to hola@volleyworldapp.com from the address you signed up with. Everything keeps working in the meantime.
