Create match days

What you’ll achieve: the season’s playing days in the calendar, and every match of the regular season placed on one of them.

Prerequisites: generated fixtures. The order matters: matches can only be dropped onto playing days that already exist — Create the playing days in the Calendar first — fixtures are dropped onto them here.

1. Create the playing days

1. Click Playing days in the rail, then Add playing day.
2. WHEN — the Date, the Jornada number and the Start and end time (wall clock at the venue).
3. WHERE — the Host club: the club whose pavilion hosts the jornada. Hosting lets that club set the courts and times of this day. With no host club, the day is run by the federation. The Venue is optional now — you can attach it later.
4. FOR THE CLUBS — Notes: anything the clubs should know.
5. Click Save playing day.

To create several at once, pick them in the sheet’s Dates calendar (Click several days to add several playing days at once) and confirm with Add playing days — the jornada numbers follow in date order.

A day without a venue

A venue is one of your club’s maps. The day stays flagged and cannot be published until one is attached. You can still plan it and place matches on it. The Calendar shows a banner for days without a playing site, for matches without a court or time, and for matches without a referee.

2. Put the matches on the days

Back in Matches, the rounds are on the left and the playing days on the right.

1. Drag a whole round onto a playing day — or a single match. A day can hold several rounds.
2. Or click Distribute: one round per playing day, in order. You can drag further rounds onto the same day afterwards; matches already played are left where they are.
3. To take a match or a round off its day again, drop it back on the left.

Shortcut: → J… on a round puts it on the next empty day. If there are fewer days than rounds, the leftover rounds stay unscheduled until you add more days.

Drag a round onto a jornada — or let Distribute do it in order.

For club staff

A club allowed to Host days creates and edits the playing days it hosts, and — with Schedule — moves matches onto and off those days.

Troubleshooting

• “Rounds that stay unscheduled … there are not enough playing days yet.” Add more playing days, or put several rounds on the same day.
• A finished match won’t move. Finished matches cannot be moved. Reopen the result first.
• Matches point at a playing day that no longer exists. The day was deleted or cancelled. Unassign them and place them again.
