Staff & verification
What you’ll achieve: your federation’s account created and verified, with a clear idea of who on your team can do what.
Before you start: an e-mail address you read, and a phone number we can reach you on.
Step 1 · Your personal account
Section titled “Step 1 · Your personal account”The first step is your own user account — the federation comes in step 2.
- Open federationapp.volleyworldapp.com and choose Create account. You can Continue with Apple, Continue with Google, or sign up with an e-mail address.
- Fill in your name, Email Address and Password (at least 7 characters, no spaces). We write to this address to verify your federation, so use one you read. On a computer you also choose your country and province under Where you are based.
- Under Your role and contact, pick Your role in the federation and enter a Contact phone (both are required).
- Confirm that you are 14 or older and accept the terms, then click Next (on a phone: Continue).
- Confirm your e-mail address with the link we send you. The screen moves on by itself once the address is confirmed; Resend email sends a new link.
The roles you can choose from:

Your role is shown next to your name at the top of the console. It is for information: it does not change what you can do in the app.
Step 2 · Your federation
Section titled “Step 2 · Your federation”On Create your federation you enter the Federation name, the Country and region, the Federation main address, Which sports does your federation govern? and, optionally, a public Phone number and the Federation logo. Just the basics — you can change all of it later in Federation settings.
Federation names are unique per country: the form tells you right away whether the name is free in your country.
The 24-hour check
Section titled “The 24-hour check”Every new federation is checked by a person. A Volley World admin calls the contact phone you gave in step 1 to confirm that the federation is real and that you act for it. The admin then marks your federation as verified.
Until that happens, your Dashboard shows Verification in progress: A Volley World admin is checking that this is a real federation and will contact you within 24 hours. Everything here keeps working in the meantime.
You don’t have to wait. During the check you have the same access as afterwards: the calendar, leagues, tournaments, referees, the actas archive and settings all work. The notice disappears once your federation is verified.

To add another member of your federation’s staff, write to hola@volleyworldapp.com from the head admin’s address with the person’s name and e-mail address. The Federation app itself does not have a staff screen yet.

Troubleshooting
- I never got the confirmation e-mail. Check your spam folder, then use Resend email. Another e-mail can only be sent after a short wait.
- “Already taken” next to the federation name. Another federation in your country uses that name. Add your region to the name, or contact us if it is really yours.
- Nobody called within 24 hours. Write to hola@volleyworldapp.com from the address you signed up with. Everything keeps working in the meantime.
- “Only for the federation’s staff” on Actas. Your account is not on your federation’s staff. Ask your head admin to write to hola@volleyworldapp.com so we add you.
