What you’ll achieve: the clubs of your league on its Clubs screen, accepted — so their staff and captains can register teams.

Prerequisites: a league (Create the league).

Only your own club or federation plays?

Then invite nobody and go straight to Teams. If you organize the league as a club and your club plays too, use Does your club play too? → Add on the Clubs screen: the organizer’s club joins directly, no invitation needed.

1. Invite a club that is on Volley World

1. Open the league and click Clubs in the rail.
2. Under Invite a club (Only invited clubs can enter teams in this league.), type part of the club’s name in the search field. The search also looks at the club’s second name and its id.
3. Click Invite next to the club. It shows up under Associated clubs as Invited.

For club staff

The invitation arrives in your club’s Competition Manager, under Leagues: Your club has been invited to this league. Click Accept — the league moves to Leagues we play in — or Decline.

2. Invite a club that is not on Volley World yet

1. Under the search, next to Club not on Volley World yet?, click Invite by email.
2. The sheet Invite a new club opens: We email the contact person how to register the club on Volley World for free. As soon as it is registered, the club joins this league.
3. Fill in Contact person, Club name and Email, then click Invite a new club.
4. The club appears under Waiting to register until it has registered. From there you can Resend it, or Cancel invitation.

If the e-mail belongs to staff of a club that is already on Volley World, the sheet tells you so and offers Invite this club instead — nothing to register.

For club staff: the invitation e-mail

The contact person gets an e-mail Your club is invited to a league, with the league, the organizer, the season, the category and the number of teams allowed. It’s free and takes about 2 minutes: open the link with Register my club, create a free organizer account (or sign in), and register the club — name, country and, if you like, the logo. The club then joins the league automatically and can enter its teams. The invitation expires after 30 days.

3. Decide what each club may do

Once a club is invited, it gets a row in What each club may do. By default a club may do everything on this list. Switch off what you want to keep to yourself. The columns:

• View — open the league at all. Off: the club sees a locked screen.
• Sign up teams — enter new teams for their own club.
• Roster — edit the roster of teams their club has already entered.
• All rosters — see other clubs’ rosters. Off: only team names and player counts.
• Host days — create, edit and cancel the playing days their club hosts.
• Schedule — courts, times and auto-assign on the days they host.
• Officials — assign referees, scorers and line judges on the days they host.
• Results — enter results for matches they play in, or that are on a day they host.
• Exports — download the CSV and PDF exports.

The club’s row menu also lets you Resend invite, Change teams allowed and Remove club (teams it has already registered are not deleted).

Per-club permissions — everything on by default.

Troubleshooting

• The club doesn’t appear in the search. Try part of the name — the search also matches the second name and the id. Still nothing? It’s not on Volley World yet: use Invite by email.
• “This invitation was just sent.” Wait a few minutes before resending.
• The invitation shows Expired. Click Resend to send a fresh one.
• The club accepted but cannot register teams. Check that Sign up teams is on in What each club may do, and that the league’s registration is open.
