Club date change requests

Who does thisFederation staff Who does thisClub staff

What you’ll achieve: every league match date confirmed by both clubs before the playing day — and every requested change decided by you, with both clubs, their players and the referees told.

Prerequisites: a league with published playing days (Inside a match day).

When you publish a playing day, each club gets a window to confirm the date and time of its matches or request a change. A change request can move a match to another date and/or time; the venue and court are not part of a request — you choose the court when you accept.

  • The requesting club sends a new date, a new time and, if it likes, a reason.
  • The opponent answers Agree or Object. The opponent’s answer is advisory; the federation decides.
  • You accept or decline.

Clubs act from the Dates section of the league in their Competition Manager, or from Match dates in the Volley World app. A club can act when it has the Roster permission in What each club may do — and team captains can too, if you allow it (below).

In the league’s Settings, the deadline card decides how long clubs have:

RuleWhat it means
Hours after publicationClubs have a number of hours (1 to 336, 48 by default) after you publish the playing day.
Weekday before the jornadaA fixed weekday and time before each playing day (Wednesday 20:00 by default).
No confirmationClubs neither confirm nor request changes.

Tick Team captains may also confirm and request changes to let captains act too, then click Save rule.

Open Dates in the league’s rail (the same panel sits inside every published playing day). Date confirmation counts the matches Confirmed by both, By one team, Not confirmed, Tacit and with Pending changes, and lists the Pending change requests.

  1. In Pending change requests, open the request: the new date and time, the reason, and the opponent’s answer.
  2. Click Accept — The match is moved and both clubs and their players are notified. Add a Note for the clubs if you like.
  3. Answer the follow-up questions: put the match on an existing playing day or Create a jornada on date; if its court is taken, Choose another court or Place on a court later. You are warned if a team would play twice at the same time, or if the target playing day is not published.

To refuse, click Decline and give a reason — it is sent to both clubs. The match keeps its date: Change declined.

When a change is accepted, both clubs, the players of both teams and every official named on the match are notified.

You can confirm or request a change for a team yourself: Confirm for team and Request change for team. After the deadline the clubs can no longer act; to allow a late change, Open an exception for the match (and Withdraw exception to close it again).

On each match: Confirm, or Request change → Request a date change — New date, New time, Reason → Send request: Request sent to the federation and the opponent. While it is pending you can Withdraw request. When the other side asks, you answer Agree or Object.

Troubleshooting
  • A club cannot see Dates. Its Roster permission is off — check What each club may do.
  • A club wants another venue. Venues are not requested through this flow; change the playing day’s venue yourself (Inside a match day).
  • The buttons are gone for a club. The deadline has passed or the playing day has started. Open an exception if you want to allow it.
